Pastry Chef, Veruska Samanez
Veruska was a competitor in Food Network's Spring Baking Championship Season 7, which aired in Spring 2021. In her words..
"It was an incredible opportunity and adventure that I will never forget. I was overwhelmed by the weekly outpouring of support and love from my family, friends, local community and viewers across the country as the episodes aired! I LOVE hearing from viewers and their special stories and connection to my story. I met the most amazing and talented people and although I did not make it to the very end I can honestly say I'm so proud of myself and walked away with a wealth of friendships and experience. "

I have always been influenced by the food around me. My earliest memories are of my family gathered in the kitchen, stirring and stewing-- preparing the most amazing meals for gatherings, big and small. Family is everything to us and food is an essential part of how we celebrate. The first cake I ever made was for my aunt's birthday-- a peaches and whip cream delight.
I was fortunate to attend The Culinary Institute of America in New York (where I'd meet my future husband!). I graduated with an Associate's degree in Baking and Pastry and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
I've since made it my mission to hone my craft. I've created cakes and baked specialties for 12 years. I am deeply passionate about the artistry that goes behind each cake and confection and it is my absolute joy being a part of my clients' special celebrations. Life is short; find every moment to celebrate it!
