As a young girl, I was always influenced by the food around me. My earliest memories are of my mother and grandmother who were in the kitchen, stirring and stewing-- getting food ready for the family gatherings we frequently had. Family is everything to us and food is an essential part of how we celebrate. The first cake I ever made was for my aunt's birthday-- a peaches and whip cream delight. It was no surprise that years later I would choose to attend The Culinary Institute of America (where I would meet my future husband!). I would graduate with an Associate's degree in Baking and Pastry as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Since then I have made it my mission to travel the world acquiring skills from the top cake artists and chefs. I am deeply passionate about the artistry that goes behind each cake and confection and find joy in being a small part of your special day or celebration. Life is short; find every moment to celebrate it!
